Individual Development Accounts

Valley Individual Development Accounts (VIDA) is a program collaborative comprised of 27 non-profit organizations and housing authorities throughout Oregon.   VIDA’s purpose is to prepare and assist families and individuals of modest means to accumulate wealth and grow financially through Individual Development Accounts (IDA).  The program offers economic assistance as well as training in homeownership, small business, and/or education or job training.

For the past four years, CASA of Oregon has administered and managed the $1.3 million VIDA program for 27 member organizations across nine counties within the Willamette and Rogue Valley, and will expand its IDA offerings to other areas of the state over the next five years.  The VIDA program is primarily funded by Federal and State resources; other private funding constitutes 9% of the program’s budget.  CASA of Oregon’s role and responsibility as the administrator includes daily operational decisions, including but not limited to procedures, data methods, program coordination, fundraising, and management/distribution of funds. Please visit VIDA's website at www.vidaoregon.org
