Housing & Community Facilities Development
CASA of Oregon works with local rural communities and housing providers to improve housing resources for farmworkers and their families. For over twenty years, CASA has provided development services for seasonal and year-round housing, as well as homeownership opportunities. CASA's activities not only benefit area farmworkers, but also provide an economic benefit to the broader community. The construction and on-going operation of farmworker housing and related facilities provides jobs to local community members.
CASA of Oregon is recognized nationwide as an innovative and effective developer of farmworker housing, constructing over 1,000 units of multi-family housing. CASA has assisted in the rehabilitation of over 1,200 on-farm bed spaces and constructed 13 single-family homes for rental and subsequent sale.
