Community And Shelter Assistance Corporation (CASA of Oregon) was established in 1988 in response to the housing needs of Oregon farmworkers and their families. Since its inception, CASA has worked primarily through local community organizations and housing sponsors to develop housing and to assist in improving the overall quality of life for farmworkers and their families.
A statewide organization, CASA is organized as a private, nonprofit community development corporation and has charitable tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code. A volunteer Board of Directors provides leadership and direction.
The mission of CASA is to improve the quality of life for farmworkers in Oregon by constructing, rehabilitating and managing housing and related facilities.
